Social Action at TBE
At Temple Beth El, social action is an important expression of our Jewish values. Guided by the principle of tikkun olam, repairing the world, we seek to make a positive impact both within our local community and beyond.
Throughout the year, TBE members take part in a range of hands-on and advocacy efforts. These have included community clean up projects, environmental initiatives, and opportunities to support vulnerable populations in our region. Whether through volunteering, education, or everyday choices, we believe meaningful change often begins with small, consistent actions.

Reducing Single Use Waste
As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, TBE encourages members and event organizers to help reduce waste whenever possible.
You can support this effort by:
- Using reusable dining ware available at the Temple
- Recycling single use items when reuse is not possible
This initiative builds on past sustainability efforts at TBE and reflects our shared responsibility to care for our environment.
